S. Korea Calls For Further Tehran-Seoul Trade Ties

TEHRAN The new head of KORTA, Korea Trade Center, Ik Hwan Kim called for further strengthening of Iran-Korea economic relations and more joint investment between companies of the two countries. Talking here yesterday with Deputy of Iran's Chamber of Commerce Industries and Mines, ICCIM, Alaeddin Mir-Mohammad Sadeqi termed Iran's economic and geographical status as matchless. He told Mir-Mohammad Sadeqi that South Korea is willing to further boost the two countries trade and industrial cooperations both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Terming Iran's economic status as appropriate for joint investment, Kim said that in near future he will visit Iran's free trade and economic zones as to better find out their economic potentials. According to Kim some five South Korean trade and industrial delegations are to visit Iran while and Iranian trade and industry delegation will visit South Korea next week. Mir-Mohammad Sadeqi told Kim that the relevant regulations and laws concerning investment in the country's free trade and economic zones has been amended and the government supports investment in such zones seriously.
Mir-Mohammad Sadeqi who is also head of Iran and South Korea Economic Cooperation Committee also said that there are some one hundred industrial and commercial companies from the private sector who are members of the committee.
